VISIT

The School of Education

The School of Education is located on U-M's central campus, where student life blends into the thriving and diverse community of Ann Arbor. Since 1921, our building on East University Avenue has housed scores of forward-thinking students, educators, and education researchers. Visit our historic halls, enjoy our landscaped courtyard, or take a virtual tour.

SOE Entrance

VIRTUAL TOUR OF THE SOE

Our building has stood since 1924. With university and donor assistance, the first floor of the building was refurbished in the early 2000s, which included restoration of the faience tiles that line the main entrance and the lion’s head fountain.

On the second floor, visitors will find Prechter Lab, which was once a library. This stately room features large windows, a high ceiling, and the library's original circulation desk.
