Description of Reading Instruction Study

The intent of this project is to use DRIS data to provide researchers, intervention developers, and policy makers with descriptive information about reading instruction in the U.S. and to identify possible gaps in instructional opportunities that exist at particular grade levels of the U.S. education system, or in schools or classrooms serving different student populations. These findings could then be used to identify possible directions for the improvement of elementary school reading instruction.
