Nick is the financial steward of over 200 accounts in the School of Education. He maintains their efficacy through monthly reporting and review, approvals for reimbursements, various other forms of expense. Nick works with primary investigators (PIs) and other stakeholders to ensure expenses and revenues are accurately reflected, and councils them on financial questions. His job also involves research and problem solving to resolve myriad financial issues as they arise.
Nick takes pride in handling financial issues for folks who are working every day to produce excellent teachers. As the son of a teacher, he understands the incredibly important work they do in our communities.
Nick has been with UM for many years. Before joining the School of Education, he worked as a research administrator, helping faculty in LSA Chemistry and LSA Biology with pre- and post-award research processes. Prior to that, he worked as a sponsored programs reporting accountant. Before starting his career at the university, Nick worked for a speaker manufacturing start-up in Ann Arbor called Leon Speakers, which is still going strong today.
