Erica manages annual giving and alumni relations at the SOE, overseeing annual giving appeals, stewardship materials for donors with endowed funds, and several events such as homecoming, reunion, the SOE scholars and donors breakfast, Giving Blueday, and Hail Yeah. Additionally, she creates and distributes HailMail, the SOE’s monthly alumni e-newsletter.
Erica is passionate about working in the SOE because she comes from a family of educators who showed her that education was the primary method for upward mobility and success. Seeing her mother work as a teacher firsthand, she gained a high level of respect for the profession.
An alumna of U-M, Erica graduated in 2013 with a degree from the School of Literature, Sciences, and the Arts and a minor from the School of Social Work, studying sociology. She became interested in the field of development through the U-M Development Summer Internship Program as an undergraduate student. She is part of a Lean In group for development colleagues across the university who are in mid-level professional positions. There, she enjoys connecting with women across campus who have similar work experience and are looking to make the next step in their careers.
Prior to working at the SOE, Erica worked in the U-M Office of University Development as a senior development assistant supporting three major gift officers. Previously, she worked at a market research firm in Washington, D.C. as well as a non-profit consulting firm in Beverly Hills, Michigan.
Erica enjoys the outdoors, taking long walks with her dog, Lola, and spending time with family, many of whom live nearby.
