Her responsibilities include recruiting teacher fellows, managing programmatic partnerships, supporting the development of sustainability and environmental curriculum, and evaluating and reporting on program progress.

Emily is passionate about connecting people to the natural world and inspiring action to sustain it. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for nature with others and brainstorming creative methods for using outdoor and community settings as classrooms.

Before joining the School of Education, Emily worked for a variety of different environmental agencies and nonprofits to develop and deliver quality environmental education experiences. She earned her MS in Ecological Leadership and Education while living and learning outdoors with the Audubon Expedition Institute of Lesley University. Emily has led middle and high school students on backpacking trips through Yosemite National Park, coordinated teaching practicums for graduate students in schools across Wyoming, and facilitated professional development in place-based education for teachers in Bhutan.
