Student Philanthropy and Community Corps (SPCC)

The Student Philanthropy and Community Corps plays a critical role in building a strong future for the Marsal Family School of Education by educating current students on the value of philanthropy generally and to the Marsal School in particular. The Student Philanthropy and Community Corps (“The Corps”) achieves this by creating opportunities to engage in student development and philanthropy efforts and providing strategic input on student philanthropy to Marsal School leadership.

SRP is an interdisciplinary project of law, social work, and education students. SRP was founded in response to the tremendous need for free, high quality representation and advocates for students facing suspension and expulsion hearings in southeast Michigan.

Women of Color and the Academy (WOCATA)

Women of Color and the Academy (WOCATA) is a Rackham Interdisciplinary Workshop* group that focuses on centering and elevating the voices and experiences of Women of Color in the Academy. This group hosts monthly programming centering race, research, representation, and positionality and weekly programming such as a study hall for Students of Color and book clubs for the graduate student community.

EdWorks

EdWorks is a one-stop shop for career services and resources. Marsal School students and alumni can utilize this system to search and apply for education-based internships, jobs, and experience-building opportunities; access tailored resources; and connect with peers, alumni, and career services staff.
