The purpose of the Graduate Organization of Students in Higher Education (GOSHE) is to promote the academic and professional development of future leaders in the field of higher education.  Our mission includes:

  1. promoting a forum for the free exchange of ideas between students and faculty within CSHPE, the School of Education, and the various communities which constitute the University of Michigan.
  2. fostering social interaction through sponsorship of social gatherings.
  3. articulating and representing students' opinions, experience, and perceptions regarding department policies and procedures.
  4. promoting professional development opportunities (e.g., brownbags/discussion groups focused on themes such as technology, international studies, faculty and administrative career preparation).
  5. serving as a conduit for collecting and disseminating college and departmental information.
  6. facilitating outreach projects to serve the academic and local community.

GOSHE sponsors a diverse array of professional development and social events each semester. Updated calendars are available in the CSHPE Student Lounge.
