School of Education continues to be in Top 20 according to U.S. News & World Report, with seven ranked specialty programs


On March 20, U.S. News & World Report announced their 2019 Best Graduate Schools, which are designed for prospective students looking to continue their education. U.S. News evaluates graduate programs across six major disciplines: business, education, engineering, law, medicine, and nursing. All of these disciplines at the University of Michigan are ranked among the Top 20 in the nation.

The University of Michigan School of Education continues to be a recognized with outstanding peer assessment (4.3/5.0) and administrator/expert (4.5/5.0) scores. Currently ranked 14th overall, and 6th among public universities, the school rose one spot in 2019. The SOE also has seven highly-ranked specialty programs, including the 1st ranked program in higher education administration, the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education:

#2 in secondary education
#2 in educational psychology
#6 in curriculum and instruction
#7 in education policy
#12 in educational administration and supervision
