JPEE doctoral student Megan Carlson received a 2018 CCCC Disability in College Composition Travel Award. The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) is a constituent organization within the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). These awards support scholarship dedicated to improving knowledge about the intersection of disability with composition and rhetoric, the value of disability as a source of diversity, inclusive practices and the promotion of access, and the value of disability as a critical lens.

This year, six recipients were chosen for this award, which goes to scholars whose convention program proposals have the greatest potential to further the goals laid out in the CCCC Policy on Disability.
