M-ARC/Urban Pedagogy MA students featured on WDIV and MLive

Two of the School of Education’s Michigan Alternate Route to Certification (M-ARC)/Urban Pedagogy students, Adam Schilt and Ashley Monteleone, were featured on WDIV and MLive. West Side Academy’s Ashley Monteleone and Chelsea High School’s Adam Schilt coordinate a pen pal program to bridge the void between Michigan high school students from different backgrounds. Students in the program came together in person on May 17 at a “Breaking Barriers” event. Students gathered in small groups and student leaders facilitated conversations where the teens shared more about themselves.
