The School of Education is a leader among peer institutions for the integration of innovative technological resources into its research and instruction. Over the past decade, the School has committed significant financial and human resources to building and operating specialized instructional facilities and maintaining an extensive networking infrastructure to meet a wide variety of computing needs. From interactive multimedia with streaming video capability to wireless networks that sustain the use of complex technologies in every classroom in the School, our commitment to and use of technology is everywhere in evidence. This investment in technology enables the School to facilitate distance learning, collaboration, and community outreach throughout the State of Michigan and beyond, especially in the K-12 environment.
Computing and Network Resources are managed within the School of Education by the Technology Services Group (more commonly known as “Tech Services”). In the pages that follow, we describe the resources available to the School of Education Community, how to gain access to these resources, and what to do when you encounter difficulty.
